Fast-paced team sport with strong potential for national competition.
Handball is the newest federation in the South Sudan Collective, founded to build a structured competition pathway for a sport that's grown organically in schools and community clubs.
The fast pace, low equipment cost and small court footprint make handball uniquely scalable in South Sudan. Within three years the federation has registered clubs in five states and fielded its first national squads at IHF development events.
Current focus: certified courts, a proper national league, and qualifying for the African Men's and Women's Handball Championships.
Inaugural multi-state competition launching across Juba, Wau and Yei.
Introducing handball into secondary school PE curricula.
IHF-aligned coaching courses delivered with regional partners.
Every contribution to the Track and Field federation goes directly into athletes, coaches and infrastructure — fully tracked and reported back.
